Reid made the decision that he was missing opportunities by not leveraging LInkedin and all its networking potential. Linkedin has been a powerhouse in my personal business networking so could not agree with Reid more that adding Linkedin to his toolbox was a great move. What's the first think that needs to happen when deciding to utilize Linkedin? You need a headshot. Anyone who uses Linkedin from a client perspective knows when you're looking for a professional service, no matter how many filters you add to your search, you are going to get pages of results. And that's awesome! Having options is a great way to get exactly what you need. But with all those options what is the end all decision maker once you have run out of filters to narrow down your choice? The service providers image. How many times have we looked at someone's image and thought "they look a little stiff" or "She doesn't look very pleasant to work with". Your Linkedin headshot can go a long way to open doors or slam them shut.
